Hear the tale of how during Elizabeth I’s reign, Robert Dudley founded his legacy, this philanthropic organization, in the beautiful half-timbered buildings built by the Guilds of Warwick in the 1300’s. Dudley created a home and sanctuary for soldiers –the Brethen - who had fought in the Elizabethan wars and he installed a Master to watch over them. A unique establishment where the community of Master and Brethren still exists after 450 years. Learn more about the nuances of this fascinating historical gem hidden in the heart of Warwick.
